Emotional triggers are both more common with chronic pain because our nervous system is already hypervigilant...and then BECAUSE of emotional triggers, we can then further exacerbate the hypervigilance. But there is GOOD NEWS. We can absolutely respond in a different way to an emotional trigger that doesn't feed into the threat response. Listen in to hear the 5 steps to taming your triggers
